In this decade, electrical, electronic and control devices have been pervasive in all of human life aspects around the world. Skilled and competence vocational experts are certainly needed and sought after. Therefore, on April 26, 2014, Pudak Scientific had inauguration for the Vocational Laboratory room of Pudak Training Center at Jl. Mekar Raya Kav. 12 – Gedebage, Bandung, where there first vocational training class was also began.

This first vocational training class was inaugurated symbolically, marked with tumpeng-cutting at 12.00am by Pudak Scientific Directors that was represented by Mr. Stanley Wangsanegara and the Chairman of Electronic Lab. of PPPPTK, Mr. Binsar Siagian.

The topic of this first vocational training class in 2014, which was attended by 19 participants from 16 vocational schools / public of West Java, was "The Usage of PLC (Programmable Logic Control) Trainer and Its Application". This training was intended for those who have mastered the basic electrical and digital techniques.

The purpose and benefits of this training include:

• Train skill and technically improve the teaching aids empowerment and materials concept
• Update with the latest development of technology and teaching aids
• Discuss and share experiments experiences
• Provide training certificates to participants

The structure of this training program is 10 hours patterns which consist of: Introduction to PLC, Basic PLC Programming, Output Instruction, and PLC Applications.

The vocational training class event was began with a seminar delivered by Mr. Binsar who gave a presentation on "Aku Cinta Produk Indonesia (I Love Indonesian Products)" and discussed about the need to be proud of using Indonesian local product.

The next session was about "Advanced Technology" which discussed the introduction to the technology on vocational field and the demonstration of Pudak VIPSim. The activity continued by inviting participants to practice in the Hands-on Experience method. By this method, participants can directly use and try the Pudak Scientific PLC Trainer.

The materials practiced by the participants include:

• Introduction to PLC Trainer
• Safety in vocational laboratory
• Demonstration of Relays, I/O, Traffic light, and Elevators applications.

Hopefully this inauguratation of Pudak Training Center and first vocational training class will bring benefits for all of us, particularly for education providers in Indonesia.
